Welcome to Kentucky Wesleyan College

Kentucky Wesleyan Dining has partnered with Aladdin Food Management Services, LLC. This new patnership will bring exciting changes, fresh menus, and new enhancements to your dining program.

New Block Meal options, extended hours of service, expanded menu selections in the Panther Cafe just to name a few. The partnership will also include renovation to all three areas of service. Please pardon our dust as we work to improve the dining experience on campus. 

Dining Hall Meal Plan Info and Policies

The meal plan week extends from Saturday Brunch until Friday Dinner. Weekly meal allotments will decline during this time. On Saturday morning your meal card will be reloaded with your weekly allotment to use for the next week.

You may use one meal per meal period in the Hocker Dining Hall or as a **Meal Exchange in the Panther Cafe. Meals and Flex Dollars do not carry over from Fall to Spring semester

Dining Flex Dollars

Flex Dollars are available to all students, faculty, and staff. Resident students may puchase flex dollars to supplement their meal plans. You do not have to shop, cook, or was dirty dishes; just enjoy nutritional meals, and have more time to work, study, stay fit, or socialize.

**Meal Exchange: In exchange for one of your meals in Hocker Dining Hall you may choose to dine in Panther Cafe. One meal swipe will allow the selection of one entree/sandwich, one side, and a beverage. Some items are excluded from meal exchange such as bottled products, specialty items, and Starbucks Offerings.

***Block Meal Plans are allotted per semester rather than by week. You are still only able to use one meal at each meal period. However, unused meals each week carry over into the following week until the semester ends.

Food Service Committee

The Food Service Committee, which is comprised of the Food Service Manager, Faculty/Staff representatives, and student representatives, welcomes your comments and suggestions concerning food service.

If you have any ideas about the Dining Hall or Meal Options, you may contact a committee member, drop a note in the suggestion box, email us a comment, or speak to the Food Service Director.

This is YOUR dining service and we are here to serve you! We appreciate your input and feedback to better meet your needs. You can make your voice heard through comment cards or just introduce yourself and tell us what you think.

Special Dietary Needs

If you have special dietary needs, please consult with the Food Service Director. All efforts will be made to meet your special needs.

Meals On The Go

If a required school activity prohibits you from attending a meal(s), we will pack a meal(s) for you. Please make your individual request 48 hours in advance in Hocker Dining Hall; groups should request one week ahead. ID numbers will be needed when an order is placed.

Trayless Dining

Aladdin is proud to sponsor a trayless dining program at KWC. Trayless dining reduces our environmental footprint. It decreases waste, conserves natural resources (namely, energy and water) and reduces the introduction of polluting detergents, rinses, and drying agents into the water table. Socially, trayless dining can provide education and awareness about environmental issues, while also potentially reinforcing a healthy lifestyle. It is an initiative that supports campus sustainability.

Feeling bad?

We understand that there is nothing more miserable than being ill and unable to make it to meals.

If you are too ill to attend class or come to the Dining Room, you should obtain a special dietary request form from the Director of Dining Services. When presented to Aladdin personnel, along with your ID card, a take-out box will be provided.

Registered Dietician

A Registered Dietitian (R.D.) will work students, parents, school nurses, teachers, and health care providers to help manage’ food allergies and special diets by:

»Working with physicians, dietitians, or qualified nutrition specialists to manage dietary substitutions.

»Knowing where emergency medications are stored and knowing how they should be administered in case a student has an allergic reaction.

»Reviewing menus with students or parents of students who have food allergies to determine what, if any, menu items need to be substituted.

How do I change my meal plan?

You are able to change your meal plan the first week of classes, contact the cashiers office at 270.852.3108

Service Regulations

Your understanding and observation of the following regulations will guarantee smooth, efficient operation of the Dining Hall.

  • Students must obey the school’s personal appearance regulations while in the Dining Hall.
  • Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times.
  • You are not permitted to take food from the Dining Hall.
  • To avoid waste, you should choose one entrée when entering the served lines. More entrees are available for seconds.
  • After dining, please leave your table and chairs neat and clean.
  • Please behave courteously at all times.
  • You will not be granted credit for any meals missed.
  • We ask that you abide by all of the Aladdin policies.

Dining Hall personnel reserve the right to dismiss or suspend you from the dining area for inappropriate behavior.
